Trojan Boats For Sale




Riobamba is the capital of the province of Chimborazo. From the city, it is possible organize excursions to the surrounding mountains. In Riobamba, which has a strong English influence, one encounters indigenous people, mestizos, and a minority of whites.

Mothers 'concepts' and Maldonado school are interesting places to visit. The history of this city bears the fact that it is the connection point between the coast and the mountains. In 1830, when Ecuador seceded from Gran Colombia, the city of Riobamba was elected to sign the First Constitution of the new republic. Gran Colombia was the dream of Simon Bolivar, a group of nations that broke free from the English: What is now Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador. Simón Bolívar wrote his poem highlights in the city of Riobamba, Chimborazo inspired by "My Delirium on Chimborazo."

The importance of Riobamba in the last centuries is great for the presence of the train station, the main transportation at this time. Today, the train is no longer a major means of transport, but it is a unique tourist attraction. From Riobamba station, the train leaves the most impressive railway route through the "Avenue of the Volcanoes", ending up in the "Devil's Nose." Ecuador Railways are located at Avenida Daniel Leon Borja s / n Carabobo corner, the phones are: 593 03 2961 038 0 593 03 2967 316. As of December 2010 is not available the route by train to Devil's Nose, the rail car only works up to Palmyra.

The city of Riobamba is located in the center of the country. Traveling in the American, is 232km 183km of Quito and Guayaquil in the northeast.

Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador to 6310 meters above sea level, and its flad of two shelters located. Carrel hut, at 4800 meters, is easily accessible by road ballast. From there you can reach the Whymper refuge in an hour. The refuge serves as a base for climbers who want to crown the summit of Chimborazo.
