The news catches us by surprise. Expected following the strikes of the company's technical and generated controversy around the figure of the director. But leaving aside this issue, which no one can discuss is how much Eduardo has done for the Basque Golden Age theater through the CNTC:
First, has helped spread across the Golden Age theater English territory. And we must not forget that the company is "National", as indicated by its title. It seems obvious, but not for certain people who do not know what that means "National." Luckily, Basque has shown that it knows its meaning with the creation of two teams that have toured all over Spain. And not only by Spain, the CNTC has gone further tours across borders to Latin America.
Second, it has created an excellent pool: The Young CNTC. A cast of actors under 30 years who are given the opportunity to work on classics in a large company and the viewers enjoyed a lot. I remember the great assembly of the gallantry of Belisa starring Eva Rufo, who is now part of the "greatest."
The CNTC main objectives are: to disseminate and retrieve classics. On the latter, the CNTC, under the direction of Basque, has staged so little known titles by the public as The gallantry of Belisa (2007), the Curioso (2007), not offend white hands (2008), Since when we came (2009); The wench pitcher (2010).
only hope that the next director of the CNTC continue giving us joy, as it has done so far Basque.
