This museum is located in northern Quito, street Antonio Costas N52104 and easiest way to get there is by Western Av (Av . Mariscal Sucre) and reach the traffic light Traffic Headquarters and go down the street Cesar Villacres. In this sector
several burials were discovered, so now believed that the whole sector was a large cemetery in antiquity. The progress of the city meant that the districts extend into this area, which is practically on the slopes of Pichincha volcano and only managed to safeguard the location of the Museum.
The tombs belong to the culture found Quito, are between 15 and 17 feet deep and have met people of high rank in one of the tombs, this can be deduced from the amount of jewelry and fine clothes that dressed.
In one of the graves has installed a camera robot so that visitors can see more clearly how they were made of deep excavations.
Inside the museum are replicas of the samples and found gems such as pectorals, earrings and brooches of gold and copper, ceramics and there are several interesting examples of fabrics that were used at that time.
The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday and admission is free.
