The Quito Botanical Garden is a space that transports visitors to different ecosystems within the city. It is located in the Parque La Carolina, in the north of the city center.

Upon entering we found a small artificial lake, a waterfall and plants typical of humid climates. The tour takes us then through a cloud forest, the heath and then the orchid house, where orchids separate cold and warm weather. Later

is Ethnobotanical garden, jungle plants and carnivorous plants. These plants are shaped vase, inside is a sweet liquid that attracts flies that will eventually drown and are then "digested" by the plant.

On paths there are plenty of plants, trees and flowers, clearly labeled with their common and scientific names.

Admission costs $ 3.50 for adults and to be within the city becomes a destination not to be missed.
