Ingapirca Quilotoa

Ingapirca means Inca Wall is a collection of ruins dating to Inca times and are in a proper state of preservation. The archaeological site is located in the Canar province in southern Ecuador. It is easily accessible from the Pan-American, you just have to get to El Tambo (one and half hours north of Cuenca), and from there follow the signs for about 15 minutes.

A small museum is a model of the complex and found objects in it, even funerary remains. According to the evidence, all Ingaprica the buildings had walls of cut stone, completed in its upper part with mud, its roof with a sharp drop (50 - 55 degrees), had a wooden frame covered with straw moor.

The ruins of the residential precincts and the most important buildings had to be plastered, while the wineries that did not require more aesthetic could have the stone. The temple Ingapirca elliptical because of its high religious hierarchy, it was the temple of the sun, shows the use of padded blocks to imperial Cuzco style. The walls of all the palaces were decorated with trapezoidal doors.

is definite: Eduardo Basque not continue as head of the CNTC

This morning I read that: "The National Classical Theatre Company seeks to substitute Eduardo Basque ( Elcultural. is )

The news catches us by surprise. Expected following the strikes of the company's technical and generated controversy around the figure of the director. But leaving aside this issue, which no one can discuss is how much Eduardo has done for the Basque Golden Age theater through the CNTC:

First, has helped spread across the Golden Age theater English territory. And we must not forget that the company is "National", as indicated by its title. It seems obvious, but not for certain people who do not know what that means "National." Luckily, Basque has shown that it knows its meaning with the creation of two teams that have toured all over Spain. And not only by Spain, the CNTC has gone further tours across borders to Latin America.

Second, it has created an excellent pool: The Young CNTC. A cast of actors under 30 years who are given the opportunity to work on classics in a large company and the viewers enjoyed a lot. I remember the great assembly of the gallantry of Belisa starring Eva Rufo, who is now part of the "greatest."

The CNTC main objectives are: to disseminate and retrieve classics. On the latter, the CNTC, under the direction of Basque, has staged so little known titles by the public as The gallantry of Belisa (2007), the Curioso (2007), not offend white hands (2008), Since when we came (2009); The wench pitcher (2010).
only hope that the next director of the CNTC continue giving us joy, as it has done so far Basque.

the south west of Quito, Pana taking the road south, we arrive at Latacunga (S 00 ° 56,101 'W 78 ° 37,184', 2800). At the second light take the detour to the right until you reach Pujilí (S 00 ° 56,031 'W 78 ° 40,695', 2946m), a quiet town where perhaps the biggest attraction is the Tigua painters using bright, bold colors in his works.

From Pujilí take the road to Zumbahua (S 00 ° 57,620 'W 78 ° 53,914' 3520m) passing a police check at this point is reached the highest part of the road (4026m). As we descend to the village, where there is only gas station for miles, we find typical food for the tourist taste like corn with cheese, fried sweet, fried, etc.. The path has to continue to our destination is to the right just before the petrol station. The road becomes narrow and even a place there big hits, however the entire route is paved. The scenic beauty of the Andean highlands, the animals from the region, such as sheep, llamas and alpacas, with the traveler. After about 3 hours drive (from Latacunga) leads to crater Quilotoa (S 00 ° 51,977 'W 78 ° 54,920' 3903m) where there is a small community which offers everything from selling crafts to stay.

There is no reliable record of eruptions, as in ancient times there were no towns near the volcano. Despite being active accumulation of water in the crater formed this beautiful lagoon. The shade of emerald green water is usually, but depending on the light, can turn blue, even if it comes down to the shore you can see shades of yellow due to mineral soil material. No water is fit for human consumption by its chemical composition.
Being a crater has formed a natural viewpoint, a more or less to about 400 m above the lake. Download takes about 40 minutes walk, rising as it is a rough road, and especially by the sand formed by volcanic ash takes 2 hours, but you can rent horses for $ USD 5.00. From the lookout you can see in a day's Ilinizas despejdo.
The accommodation in the place is small but comfortable for a night. If you have time to go further you can reach Chugchilán where there is a more comfortable inn, 2 hours west.
is good to have in mind that travel time is long, about 4 hours from Quito, own transportation, but also from Latacunga is buses that lead you to the lake, with limited hours.
To access the community gate value of $ $ 2 $ $ 4 national and foreign. The climate is typical of the paramo. You can camp, but is best done inside the crater by wind at night.

Galapagos Galapagos

The flight from Quito to the Galapagos is a unique opportunity to observe the peaks of the Ecuadorian Andes. The plane arrives at Baltra Island, a former American military base, the airlines provide transportation to the channel Itabaca, which is crossed by ferry (USD $ 0.50) and there you have to take bus (USD $ 1.8) to Puerto Ayora ( 15m S 00 ° 44,605 \u200b\u200b'W 90 ° 18,739').

On our first day we visited The Twins (620m S 00 ° 37,541 'W 90 ° 23,087') subsidence craters that are older and then cross the lava tunnel (271m S 00 ° 40,064 'W 90 ° 25,493') . We also visited Rancho

Firsts (USD $ 3) a place where you can see the turtles in their natural state. Trails Ranch are the huge turtle resting, feeding and interacting with small birds.

Santa Cruz offers a variety of destinations, as we see on the website of the Municipality: http://www.santacruz.gov.ec/gmsc/index.php

Crane Heart Rate Monitor Instructions

day 1, day 2

On our second day at the Enchanted Islands did a walk of about 3 km to Playa Mansa (1m S 00 ° 45,807 ' W 90 ° 20,416 ') through Turtle Bay.

Turtle Bay is one of the largest white sand beaches of the archipelago, due to high waves it is unwise to swim in this place. The marine iguanas, sharks and sea turtles can be seen here, depending on season and migratory birds can be seen walking along the coast.

A rock located west divides the beach, resulting in Mansa beach with mangroves around. This is the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling can be done well if a little enters the sea.

From the Galapagos National College (local school) a path will lead you to this lovely beach, distance is approximately 2.5 km. long. Visiting hours last from 6:00 until 18:00.

Galapagos day 3

On our third day we took the tour of Bahia, which took us to The Loberia (9m S 00 ° 45,461 'W 90 ° 16,702'), a colony of sea lions. At this point you can swim and snorkel along with the wolves, which are limited to play with the tourists. Be careful because wolves tend to bite.

The boat took us to Punta Estrada (2m S 00 ° 45,602 'W 90 ° 18,332') and then dock at the Love Canal (0m S 00 ° 45,573 'W 90 ° 18,482') from where we walk to the Canal where we saw sharks a couple of them and also a manta ray. Then we went to The Crack (22m S 00 ° 45,428 'W 90 ° 18,938') which are 20 meters two walls separated by brackish water, a place suitable for snorkeling.

In the afternoon we went to the Charles Darwin Research Station, an organization dedicated to the rescue of various breeds of freshwater found on the island. The most famous tortoise is Lonesome George, who is the last of his kind. Despite several attempts have not been able to reproduce, but because of his age could still have offspring. In Puerto Ayora

a recommended restaurant is "Chocolate", the food is delicious and affordable. Here you can ask for Wenceslao or Victor Hugo, two guides eager to help you better organize your trip to Galapagos.

Microscope Calculations

Museum of Florida

This museum is located in northern Quito, street Antonio Costas N52104 and easiest way to get there is by Western Av (Av . Mariscal Sucre) and reach the traffic light Traffic Headquarters and go down the street Cesar Villacres. In this sector

several burials were discovered, so now believed that the whole sector was a large cemetery in antiquity. The progress of the city meant that the districts extend into this area, which is practically on the slopes of Pichincha volcano and only managed to safeguard the location of the Museum.

The tombs belong to the culture found Quito, are between 15 and 17 feet deep and have met people of high rank in one of the tombs, this can be deduced from the amount of jewelry and fine clothes that dressed.

In one of the graves has installed a camera robot so that visitors can see more clearly how they were made of deep excavations.

Inside the museum are replicas of the samples and found gems such as pectorals, earrings and brooches of gold and copper, ceramics and there are several interesting examples of fabrics that were used at that time.

The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday and admission is free.
